300 New Members Enjoy First-Time Union Benefits

The National Production Workers Union is proud to welcome 300 new members from the cannabis industry, where they are working to negotiate their first union contract. This contract is the initial contract between members and their employer, and includes wage increases, additional paid days off, and retirement benefits. An affiliate local union within the National family served to represent employees in this negotiation. Included in the wage, PTO, and retirement benefits will also be employee discounts on the employer’s products. 

National represents cannabis dispensaries and cultivation centers in multiple states including Illinois, Michigan and Arizona. Workers in the cannabis industry are relieved to have unions like NPWU represent them in a growing industry that has largely not yet been unionized. The National Production Workers Union is actively organizing employees in the cannabis industry.
